I recently finished reading Michael Grecco's Lighting and the Dramatic Portrait. He's quite good as a portrait photographer and the images contained in the book are great, but the book itself is just okay. I'd say the best part (besides his photos) are the diagrams of lighting set-ups. I wasn't all that impressed with the writing.
