Nikon OneTouch + Fuji Superia 400
So, I won this old Nikon OneTouch on eBay a while back, maybe a couple of years ago. Can't remember exactly when and I couldn't find a receipt. It had some Fuji C-41 film in it and it had been sitting unused for, well, around two years.
I grabbed it a week ago and carried it around for a day to see what made me not use it for so long. Turns out the camera works fine except for two things... the camera back is slightly loose and the picture number indicator isn't altogether accurate.
When Wifey and I were first married we had one of these cameras and I recalled that it took really good pictures. Legendary Nikon lenses, and all that. We'd had it for quite a long time and it worked well - then something went wrong with it. It wouldn't stop rewinding unless the batteries were removed. Bummer. I wanted to play with that same camera again, so off to eBay I went.
So much for nostalgia.
I'll probably relegate it to the junk box, but I did get a couple of decent exposures from that day - this being one of them.
What a lazy weekend it was. I had planned to do so much, but those plans were rearranged and changed altogether. Not that I was bothered by the disruption. I did manage to get a haircut.
It's a short work-week here in the states. Friday is Independence Day.
