Pentax *ist D + Kodak Duaflex II I was reminded that this upcoming weekend is three days long. Wifey looked at me like I was from another planet when I told her I'd forgotten about that. Work has been a bit on the stressful side of late - never a good thing. I got to learn and play Bocce yesterday with co-workers. Team building. I hadn't played before. It was fun, even though I'm probably the worst at propelling any round object at a target... pitching a baseball, shooting a basketball, bowling. I'm just terrible. Pentax *ist D + Kodak Duaflex II Goodguys 22nd Annual West Coast Nationals 2008.08.23 Pleasanton, CA Cars all week. More on flickr. It was rather warm in Pleasanton on Saturday. I got there about 10:30 a.m. and the overcast had burned off already. It was a beautiful morning. I walked around with the TtV rig most of the morning - took a break at half-past noon and went back to the truck for a bit of lunch and rest. I moved to a closer parking space while I was at it. I pulled out the SX-70 for a bit and got a few shots with the GRD2. I ran out of steam about 2:30 p.m. There were almost too many cars! Ricoh GR Digital II It's Friday. Mom and Sis are coming over for dinner this evening. Chinese take out. I haven't had that in a while. I'm consuming a lot of lettuce these days. Since the first of the year I've managed to lose 30 pounds. I'm feeling so much better. My back hasn't given me any problems since the episode with sciatica and my knees aren't sore after an outing with cameras. I still have a significant amount of weight to lose, but I'm patient. It didn't go on overnight. I'm driving out to P-town Saturday for the Goodguys West Coast Nationals. It's their big yearly event. It's three days long, but one day is plenty enough for me.
